Unfortunately, the Rufio/Allister gig never happened as the tour was cancelled. This aside there is still numerous gigs coming up at Sub 91 during the next few months. To whet your appetites here's a few of my personal favourites coming to visit the venue: Hayseed Dixie 16th May The Blanks 24th June The Casulties 26th July Capdown 26th August I hope to see you all down there! ------------------------------------------- 13/02/2011 New gigs announced at the newly opened Sub 91 venue on Granby St, Leicester. Rufio & Allister are playing American punk on the Friday, 8th April this year and both will be celebrating the release of their new albums. Rufio's new LP 'Anybody Out There' and Allister's 'Countdown to Nowhere'. Both are currently available NOW Also playing later on this year are New York's own The Casualties playing for the old school punks, keeping the spirit alive for those that enjoyed the harsh chords of The Exploited & Charged GBH throughout the eighties and beyond! They will be gracing the Sub 91 stage with their extremely loud presence on Wednesday 27th July with support by London's home bred Moral Dilemma Just to keep a few more people in the know, if you're looking to spend a chilled out Monday night, in rock surroundings, head to The Musician's open mic night every Monday fron 7:30pm. ------------------------------------------- 27/05/2010 NEW O2 Academy to open on the Leicester University campus, keeping with the old spirit of the Union, it has been revamped, rebuilt and re-styled into a great new venue. The idea is to get more people to see Leicester as the Music town it once was, with the death of the Charlotte and limited locations for bands to perform, this should the city with the well-known, famous bands that have been missing in the city.
